QA Manager (Manufactruring/Sungai Petani)

Job Responsibilities
• Oversee daily Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities to ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Manage and improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS), including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements.
• Lead and supervise the QA/QC team, including incoming, in-process and outgoing quality inspections.
• Investigate customer complaints, product defects and quality issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Conduct root cause analysis using quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram and related problem-solving methods.
• Coordinate internal, external and customer quality audits, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up actions.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering and other departments to improve product quality, reduce rejection rates and minimise manufacturing defects.
• Monitor quality performance, inspection results and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and management on quality-related matters

Job Requirement
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with supervisory or managerial experience.
• Experience in precision engineering, metal components, machining or related manufacturing industries is preferred.
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001 and preferably IATF 16949 (formerly ISO/TS 16949) quality management systems.
• Familiarity with automotive quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC and MSA is an added advantage.
• Experience with QC 11000 or QC 12000 will be an added advantage, subject to confirmation of the relevant certification or system.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with internal teams and customers.
